Impact Recruits 2025 – Part 3

My apologies to everyone for the delay, I’ve been beyond busy with Volleyball Camps this summer so I was on a mini-FrogJump vacation. As always, the players featured aren’t ranked in any meaningful order, as we at FrogJump do not rank incoming recruits. However, below are some faces I believe we should get to know, as I feel they can potentially make an impact on their teams in the 2025 season. Parents, do not email me asking “why was my athlete not listed”… you will not like my response. Dive into part III!

Kyle Johnson – Opposite – Springfield

A 6’10 lefty Opposite out of California… enough said. Kyle Johnson is raw as a prospect, but if there is any coach who can take a raw 6’10 lefty and make him impactful, it’s Charlie Sullivan. The potential is there for all to see, and Johnson panning out would allow the Pride to move Levinson to Outside, which makes their offense even more versatile.

Owen Geismann – Outside Hitter – Mount Union

Mount Union will have one of the youngest rosters in D3VB this year, and Geismann is the first of two incoming guys I think will be the faces of their class. A pin from California, Geismann fills a hole for the raiders who relied heavily on Jack McClure last year. He needs to get a little stronger, but he will be impactful for the Purple Raiders in the MCVL.

Brady Pichler – Opposite – Wisconsin Lutheran

Pichler is a fantastic pick up for Wisconsin Lutheran. The 6’2 lefty opposite out of Milwaukee Sting is a tad undersized for the position, but the talent is there to start immediately for the Warriors. He’ll be a freshman I have my eyes on to start 2025.

Chris Mactal – Middle Blocker – North Central

I’ve watched a lot of Middle Blocker tape this summer and I have to say I’m very impressed with Chris Mactal. The 6’6 Middle out of Sports Performance knows how to take up space, using his frame to close and clamp opposing pins. North Central has been missing a middle presence since Cardenas graduated, I think Mactal eventually fills that void.

Justin Dickson – Middle Blocker – Mount Union

Justin Dickson is another face from Mount Unions incoming class who should compete for time in 2025. A 6’4 middle is generally considered undersized, but Dickson makes up for it with physicality and intensity. He’ll make a name for himself in the MCVL in due time.

Impact Transfer

Andrew Ahn – Outside Hitter – Wentworth

The 6’2 outside will be taking his talents to Wentworth for 2025. A seasoned upperclassmen with great passing ability and a solid offensive arsenal, Ahn will thrive in the Leopards system as he won’t be forced to carry the offensive load. Expect a huge spike in efficiency from him this year.
