The FrogJump Team of the Week is our weekly honor roll, recognizing some of the top performances at each of the seven positions from the last week of matches. Honorees are nominated by their SID/Coaches and selected by a committee of FrogJump staff.

Matt Slivinski was on fire last week. The Outside Hitter hitter helped the Firebirds go 2-0 against CUW and Benedictine, finishing the week with 27 kills (4.5 kills/set), a .523 hitting percantage, and six aces. This was highlighted by a 12 kill – 0 error – 14 attempt performance against a much improved CUW Falcon squad.
Drew Klein – Outside Hitter – Randolph-Macon
Sophomore Outside Hitter Drew Klein was instrumental in Randolph-Macon’s upset over #15 Stevenson this weekend. Klein would finish the match with 15 kills (5 kills/set), a .481 hitting percentage, 6 digs, and two blocks for the Yellow Jackets.
Kevin Duffy – Middle Hitter – Juniata
Duffy continues to solidify his claim as the best Middle in D3VB. Juniata went undefeated last week behind his stalwart play; he finished the week with 36 kills (3.6 kills/set), a .561 hitting percentage, 1 ace, and 6 blocks through 11 sets. As the kids say, he’s “built different”.
Ryan Givens – Middle Hitter – Messiah
Ryan Givens is displaying the talent that caught all of our attention this preseason. The young middle was a force to be reckoned with, as Messiah went 4-0 with wins over King’s College, Geneva, Wilkes, and Wells.
