No changes from last week to this week in the top 12 and only some minor movement within the teens as a consequence of an NYU win over MIT this weekend. That one sure to present the potential for more UVC standings drama down the road. The NACC, MCVL, and AMCC continue to heat up as teams jockey in the T100 from some high leverage contests this week, too. Even the SKY jumped into the realm of uncertainty as New Jersey defeated St. Josephs LI this week!
It occurs to me that with Buffalo State ready to join the AMCC starting next season (with Houghton coming along), imagine what it may look like in a year? Had they been accepted for 2024, the logjam at the top might even be more than it already seems. However, I recently became aware the AMCC’s need for both of these independents to join next season as 4 of its associate members will be leaving to join Chatham & Bethany (also two independents for just this year) in the newly formed PAC next season, potentially with Grove City penciled in to start in 2025, if all goes as planned.
Makes one stop and wonder with all the new independent programs this season, a majority of whom already had committed to conference play next year before this season even began, should Pool B still have warranted 3 bids, if it only came about from a single year temporary independent status of so many? Almost as interesting a question is how the PAC will warrant an automatic bid for Pool A next year as stated in its post from 12/14/22 at the end, implying as much?
There I go again getting side tracked. Apologies to those looking for T100 fodder… Here is the updated T100 for this week, and below it you might think the week by week T100 ranks of these 100 programs throughout the season until this moment is an interesting view as well?
