The FrogJump Team of the Week is our weekly honor roll, recognizing some of the top performances at each of the seven positions from the last week of matches. Honorees are nominated by their SID/Coaches and selected by a committee of FrogJump staff.
Mason Nissley – Outside Hitter – Messiah
Mason Nissley asserted dominance last week, reminding everyone why he is the reigning Player of the Year. The Falcon’s offense flowed through the JR Outside Hitter in their lone match versus Lancaster Bible. Nissley finished with 22 kills (7.3 kills/set) while hitting .513% in the sweep over the Chargers.
Ervin Harrell – Outside Hitter – Marymount
Ervin Harrell exploded in Marymount’s match versus Elizabethtown this past week. The senior Outside Hitter from Cheektowaga, NY ended the match with 17 kills on 20 attempts, hitting an astounding .850% while averaging 5.7 kills/set. Wow.
Pat Mahoney – Middle Blocker – Loras

Jarrett Anderson – Opposite – Springfield
“If you’re not picking Jarrett Anderson (for Player of the Year) you just aren’t paying attention” – Harvey Pepperjack. My colleagues words couldn’t be more correct. Anderson stands head and shoulders above the division right now, operating as Springfield’s cheat code. The 6’5 Opposite from San Jose, California was instrumental in the Prides victories over Wentworth and Vassar last week. Anderson ended the week with 45 kills (5 kills/set), a .441 hitting percentage, 6 aces, and 9 total blocks.
Sava Topich – Setter – Marymount
Sava Topich was instrumental in Marymount’s offensive dominance over Elizabethtown last week. The JR Setter from Pittsburgh, PA ended the sweep with an eye popping 44 assists (14.67 assists/set), while facilitating an offense that hit a combined .494 %.
Owen Hanzelman – Libero – Messiah
The “Nail Gun” made his presence known in Messiah’s sweep over PA rival Lancaster Bible last week. Owen finished the match with 10 digs (3.33 digs/set) while running a defense that held the Chargers to a .244 hitting percentage.
