The FrogJump Team of the Week is our weekly honor roll, recognizing some of the top performances at each of the seven positions from the last week of matches. Honorees are nominated by their SID/Coaches and selected by a committee of FrogJump staff.
Jacob LaBouliere – Outside Hitter – Wentworth Institute of Technology

“Laboo” continues to prove why he’s on Pepperjack’s breakout watch. In the Leopards match versus Benedictine, “Laboo” was nearly unstoppable. He finished the match with 17 kills (4.25 kills/set), a .467 hitting percentage, 3 blocks, and 2 aces.
Dorian Fiorenza – Outside Hittter – Loras College

What is a DuHawk!? Fiorenza had a huge weekend for Loras College, helping the team remain undefeated while upsetting MCVL power Fontbonne. Dorian finished the three match stretch with 34 kills (3.78 kills/set) on a .313 hitting percentage, his best game coming against Adrian College where he had 16 kills while hitting .451.
Daniel Quay – Middle Blocker – Rutgers-Newark

The Scarlet Raiders bounced back in a big way this week, defeating CVC rival Juniata in a 5-set thriller and sweeping PSU-Altoona. Quay was big in both matches, finishing with 19 kills (2.38 kills/set), a .432 hitting percentage, 1 ace, and 8 total blocks ( 1 block/set).
Jared Piontkowski -Middle Blocker – King’s College

Jared Piontkowski asserted dominance this past weekend, as the Middle Blocker finished with a combined 33 kills (4.13 kills/set) and 9 blocks (1.13 blocks/set) all while hitting .333 % in the Monarch’s two matches with SUNY Potsdam.
Justin Novoa – Setter – Stevenson

The Sophomore Setter was instrumental for the Mustangs last week, facilitating an offense that hit .337 against #5 Southern Virginia and .302 over Lancaster Bible. He averaged 10.2 assists/set between the two matches.
Jarrett Anderson – Opposite Hitter – Springfield College

Jarrett Anderson could do no wrong last week. The Pride went undefeated, sweeping Elms and Endicott alongside a 5-set win over D3VB power Vassar College. Through 11 sets of play Jarrett had 35 kills (3.18 kills/set), a .459 hitting percentage, and an astounding 13 aces (1.18 aces/set).
Daniel Esteva – Libero – New Jersey City University

Daniel Esteva was essentially a dig site last week, keeping balls off the floor left and right. In the Gothic Knights 4-set loss to Ramapo, Esteva compiled 21 digs, averaging an insane 5.25 digs/set while anchoring the NJCU serve receive.
