Just like that, AAU nationals has ended and we are squarely at the start of the 2026 season. After a well needed rest here at the Pond I’m happy to bring you part three of our impact recruit series for the upcoming 2026 college season. As always, the players featured aren’t ranked in any meaningful order as we at FrogJump do not rank incoming recruits. However, below are some faces I believe we should get to know, as I feel they’ll make an impact on their teams in the 2026 season (or beyond!). Parents, do not email me asking “why was my athlete not listed”… you will not like my response. Dive into part III!
Parfait Mugabo – Outside Hitter – NJCU
Mugabo might as well be a lock for the All-Freshmen team now based on the film I’ve watched. Athletic pins out of Texas don’t often find their ways to New Jersey, but what a commit for the Gothic Knights. I’d be shocked if Mugabo doesn’t feast on the CUNYAC conference early and often.
Harrison Fromberg – Outside Hitter – Hobart
Hobart will be looking for help at the OH pin following Andrew Kim’s graduation, I’d be shocked if they didn’t find it in Harrison Fromberg. The 6’6 pin out of Core VBC (NJ) is going to have some growing pains in the UVC, but his future is beyond bright in the greater landscape.
Aidan Dunwoody – Libero – Messiah
The Falcons graduate a senior All-American libero and somehow end up upgrading at the position for 2026! Fresh off a PIAA Class 3A State Championhip, Dunwoody arrives to Messiah to help solidify a serve receive that was one Southern Virginia buzzsaw away from a deep NCAA Tournament run.
Cody Harrison – Setter – Wentworth
The Leopards were rocking a 6-2 last season, but Cody might have the opportunity to make that a 5-1. A combination of decent size (6’3) and good touch have him on my radar as a commit to keep an eye on this year, and Wentworth has enough weapons to keep any setter happy.
George Schwalm – Outside Hitter/Opposite – Thiel
One of the big surprises of the 2026 season last year was the emergence of the Thiel in their first NCAA Tournament appearance. Geo Schwalm’s commitment only portends more good things for the Tomcats, as he’s an excellent pairing to go along with OH1 Osterling. He’ll need to get a little stronger for the greater landscape, but the future is bright for the Tomcats in the PAC.
