Conference Tournament Primer – Part ONE

The 14 conferences are listed in order of their strength within the region to which they belong. All ratings are T100 and all probabilities to advance are determined using Bayes Theorem from them. Those in red beneath the tables are weighted averages derived from of the best 6 teams and where the conference ranks out of the 14 in the landscape. Take note of the dates planned for each round of any tournament. It looks like the NEVC has joined the UVC as the only conferences with a Sunday championship game. I have given a little capsule of the nature of each with some pertinent information you might not get anywhere but here. Takes a fair share of research, but it was worth it to find some nuggets to offer up an appreciation for what’s about to be played out over the next two weeks.

Instead of the Fixings next Sunday evening I will offer the final version of this accounting to go with the post regular season version of the T100. Probably will be later than usual since NYU is about 6 hours’ drive from here. Might even find some time to have each table import on to a conference bracket. Those who read my “stuff” know how I feel about tables! LOL

Look for tomorrow’s “Tuesdays with MORE” and some new graphics regarding… YOU GUESSED IT! The NPI – Fact or Fiction.
