Summer is behind us, the school year has started, and we’re one day closer to January! This article will outline FrogJump’s content schedule for the 2023 season.
FrogJump Preseason All-American List – November Release
The FrogJump Division III Preseason All-American Team recognizes the NCAA Division III men’s volleyball players projected to be the best in the nation during the upcoming season. Honorees will be chosen by a nationwide committee of voters consisting of ten DIII Head Coaches and three FrogJump staff.
FrogJump Top 20 – Weekly Release starting in January
The FrogJump Top 20 is our Power Ranking of the DIII Men’s Volleyball Landscape. Our algorithm uses a host of different variables, including the cumulative statistics of D3VB men’s programs throughout the season. This allows us to reflect the ever-changing dynamics within the landscape as teams compete to be the best in the nation.
FrogJump Team of the Week – Weekly Release starting in January
The FrogJump Team of the Week is our weekly honor roll, recognizing some of the top performances at each of the seven positions from the last week of matches. Honorees are nominated by their SID/Coaches and selected by a committee of FrogJump staff.
PondTalk – Sunday Releases starting in January
The FrogJump staffs round table, where the contributors and I answer questions and discuss narratives based on match results during the previous week.
End of Year Awards
FrogJump All-Freshmen Team – April Release
The FrogJump All-Freshmen Team honors the top NCAA Division III men’s volleyball freshmen players from the regular season. The honorees will be selected/voted on by a committee of FrogJump personnel based on their performances throughout the regular season.
Outside of the Year – April Release
The Outside of the Year award is presented to the nation’s best NCAA Division III Outside Hitter during the regular season. The winner will be selected via a nationwide voting committee of DIII men’s volleyball coaches and FrogJump staff.
Opposite of the Year – April Release
The Opposite of the Year award is presented to the nation’s best NCAA Division III Opposite Hitter during the regular season. The winner will be selected via a nationwide voting committee of DIII men’s volleyball coaches and FrogJump staff.
Middle of the Year – April Release
The Middle of the Year award is presented to the nation’s best NCAA Division III Middle Blocker during the regular season. The winner will be selected via a nationwide voting committee of DIII men’s volleyball coaches and FrogJump staff.
Libero of the Year – April Release
The Libero of the Year award is presented to the nation’s best NCAA Division III Libero during the regular season. The winner will be selected via a nationwide voting committee of DIII men’s volleyball coaches and FrogJump staff.
Setter of the Year – April Release
The Setter of the Year award is presented to the nation’s best NCAA Division III setter during the regular season. The winner will be selected via a nationwide voting committee of DIII men’s volleyball coaches and FrogJump staff.
